(CARROLLTON, TX) One of the founding members of Texas Muslim Women's Foundation, a community activist and volunteer, Mrs. Najma Ghouse (wife of Mike Ghouse)passed away. (Innaa Lillahy wa-Innaa Ileihi Raaji-uoon). She was one of the coordinators of the free health clinic, Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) in Richardson Central Mosque. The clinic serves people who do not have health insurance or are unable to pay the high cost of medical needs.

Mrs. Ghouse came to the U.S. in the early 1970s, after completing her Masters in Biochemistry from Karachi University. Since then, she and her family have been in the Dallas Metropolitan area along with her mother, sisters, brothers, their families and grandchildren who altogether make 55 members in the family. She has 5 grandchildren.

Assalamoalykum, every soul shall taste departure from this world. Our prayers to Allah swt for her maghfira and our condolence to the members of the family. Our prayers are for their peace and for them to overcome this situation. Let her family members and the members of the community continue her good deeds. Ameen.
