Nutrtious Recipes

Include these calcium filled recipes in your daily diet to strengthen bones.

Fruit Salad with a TWIST
- 2 medium bananas, cut into slices
- 2 medium tangerines, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 cup red seedless grapes
- ½ cup vanilla non-fat yogurt
- Honey, to taste

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving. ENJOY!

Fruit Yogurt Cups

- 2 (8-oz) containers low-fat strawberry yogurt
- 1 (8-oz) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, undrained
- 5 strawberries, thinly sliced lengthwise
- 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
- 10 pieces of mandarin oranges

In a blender, combine yogurt and pineapple and process until smooth. Fill small cups ¾ full of mixture. Freeze until firm. When serving, arrange strawberries, kiwi and mandarin oranges on top of each cup. Let stand at room temperature 20 minutes before serving. You can also add this concoction on top of a graham cracker crust.

Lassi

- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 2 ½ tbsp sugar
- 1 mango, optional

In a blender mix yogurt, milk, and sugar. Serve in glass. If adding mango, increase milk to 1 cup.
Adding mango to this lassi recipe will give an extra kick of Vitamin A & C.
