Online machmaking is probably one of the most ingenious social innovations that made life easier for a numerous number of Muslim individuals who are urgently seeking suitable partner. This type of online interaction opened vital avenues for many Muslims of both sexes who otherwise would’ve been left without efficient alternative solution to fulfill their aspiration regarding meeting their soul mates.
Services provided by Qiran.com, an Islamic values embracing and a genuinely devoted site, is ce…

American Muslims have placed their trust in the American justice system and will continue to oppose the Public Sharia laws as they are currently applied in many places across the globe. I will be one of the first ones, if not the

first one, to stand up against it. The Muslim majority in America is happy with…

Themes for the summit of Religions in 2014
The theme that might capture our imagination and encapsulate our issues in 2014 would be, “A legacy for the next generation” or “A legacy for seven generations.” It is not a new idea; it is a tradition of the native peoples of America.
The issues that affect…

Jakarta, Indonesia (CNN) -- Indonesian Muslims have been praying in the wrong direction, the country's highest Islamic authority has said.
The Indonesian Ulema Council told the country's Muslim populace in March to turn west when they offered their daily prayers. Muslims are supposed to face the Kaaba, the religion's most sacred site in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

"Sajid Master wants the phone calls and angry letters to stop. He wants people to quit coming into Perfume Planet in west Houston to yell at his workers. He'd especially like folks to stop castigating his landlord.
Nearly a year after the Internet painted Master as an Al Qaida sympathizer, outrage toward the store at the Harwin Central Mart shows no sign of waning.
"They've threatened to kill me; sometimes they're cursing when they call," a resigned Master said Thursday in his shop.

Our Shrinking Economy
When I heard
Warren Buffett say, "
the pie is always growing," I thought to myself, "
your pie is always growing." The middle-class economy has been shrinking for decades. The newspa…

In the news today we see that Iran is allegedly about to stone a woman for adultery.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/07/05/iran.stoning/index.html?hpt=C1
If we listen to the purveyors of the Wahabi (sometimes mis-named 'Salafi') sect we are told that the punishment in Islam for the married adulterer is indeed stoning to death. Some Shi'a scholars make the same claim.
Perhaps the r…

I have been studying economics and I find myself interpreting the news differently. On May 17, 2010 the
Wall Street Journal ran an article, "
Manufacturing Capacity Going" by Justin Lahart. When I read that the U.S. manufacturing capacity has dropped almost 3 times a much as in the last recession, I now understand that means the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) will probably drop. That means the ratio of U.S. debt to GDP will increase, making the U.S. debt worse.

Happy July 4th. What does it mean to you? July 4th means freedom to me and I continue to debate with myself which one of the two is the most important value to me, Freedom or Justice?
The essence of freedom is directly proportional to the ability to question oneself, to question our own faith and our own myths and prejudices about others and find answers to set ourselves free. When I read Abraham Lincoln’s statement in Dale Carnegie’s book way back in late sixties, “With malice towards none” I w…

Two years ago in Gaza during Ramadan, 9-year-old Sujood walked into a KinderUSA sponsored Iftar (dinner) to have a bite to eat. Someone in the dinner hall noticed that Sujood was a new face and decided to inquire about her. What we found out was heart-breaking.
“My name is Sujood. I am in fourth grade. My father recently died and left me, my mom, and my 9 siblings.”
Let us pause here for a moment.
Our brothers, sisters, and children in Gaza have been under siege and under a blockade for nearl…

Mike Ghouse live from Nashville, Tennessee. Of course we could not get all the talking points in to the show, but you can read it.
Let's do some serious critical thinking. French commies now want to tell their people what they eat, believe, pray and WEAR? How dumb!
Don’t the French believe in liberty no more? Didn’t some French philosopher…

Zakir Naik banned from Toronto conference
We applaud the Canadian move on banning hate speeches.
It is our duty to keep law and order and faithfully guard the safety of every citizen. Hate is one of the many sources of disrupting the peace in a society and it is our responsibility to track down the source of such hate and work on mitigating it. We have an obligation to maintain a balance in the society. When we are at peace, we can generate peace and we can expect peace around us. Our words an…

Happy Fathers, Daughters and Sons day
Of course every day is father’s day, but once you have your own nucleus of a family, father’s day becomes special. My father was very special to me and I am blessed with his infinite affection to last for my life time, and I deeply feel for those who did not have one.
There are many of us out there who grew up without a father, or if we had one, he was not there for us. I feel the pain and incompleteness one feels and I extend that fatherly affection to yo…

Diversity is the standard
Imagine going to a party where every male is 6' tall and female is 5'6". All men have their hair cut short and have parted their hair precisely same and the women have done their hair the same. All women wear size 6 shoes and are 5” heeled black pumps whereas all men wear size ten. Every woman weighs 128 pound; not an ounce less or more and men weigh 160 pounds on the dot.
Then every one walks up to the perfect rose garden ever; some 500 rose plants cut exactly to 4’,…

Last night marked one week since Israel's attack in international waters on the Mavi Marmara Turkish humanitarian ship bound for Gaza, killing nine. One by one, the hundreds of witnesses aboard the vessels have been returning home to tell their stories after being stripped of any and all footage. By confiscating all non-military evidence of the incident, Israel has been able to successfully dominate the narrative, at least in the US where news of the attack had begun to dwindle by the time witne…

The American Leadership Crisis
America's economy is broken following decades of poor leadership. An important step towards better leadership would be incorruptible leaders.
What is Corruption?
Merriam-Webster says corruption is an "impairment of integrity, virtue, or moral principle." Notice this definition presumes the existence of integrity, virtue, or moral principle. In our post-modern society I do not believe we can count on ambitious people believing in the existence of in…
